My Bloody Valentine – M B V
Clearly aged and then some, we get dark cherries, baking spices and rose petals as it takes on more character over time without fully revealing itself.
Grade: B+

Has everyone gone through List Withdrawal? I’ve been a little busy, so I wasn’t able to get out a best/worst of ’12 list. It was an election year, so it would’ve taken me 6 mos. to put it together at this rate. Basically… This guy…Michigan Republicans. She’s cool. He’s not. They’re screwed. This guy is terrible. But not as bad as him. Like these guys. Was somehow a big deal. Love you buddy! This still stinks. A lot of sad. They’re still the worst. America.

Father John Misty – Fear Fun
With time spent in oak, seems to have brighter berry fruit with a certain tartness often apparent on the finish.
Grade: A-

Bob Dylan – Tempest
The pleasure never ceases, dark berries and woodsmoke on the nose, remaining lush and broad on entry, then offering bitter cherry and cracked pepper flavors.
Grade: A-
Listen to this while: in a dive bar that still allows smoking.

Beach House – Bloom
While a decent value, the shy fruit lacks slightly, and doesn’t offer a convincing alternative to the many similar vintages in existence.

A fusion of vanilla, spicy aromas and subtle oak, this is a pleasure for the palate of the devotee.

floral and spicy nose with unpredictably lively crisp citrus, balanced with softer fruit and a hint of sweetness.

Lee Fields & The Expressions – Faithful Man
This has a faint citrus nose, is a light-bodied, slightly acidic vintage with some berry notes and a nice finish.
Grade: B+
